Important notes:
Wear sturdy shoes and bring a bottle of water and a torch. A good level of fitness is required for this tour as it involves walking a total of 1.8km on steep and uneven ground.
There are no seats, shelter or toilets. Tour departs from the Tanumbarini Street playground on the corner of Tanumbarini and Mainoru Streets, Hawker at 6pm (unless otherwise advised) sharp so don’t be late.
This is a tour that focuses on the stories of those buried at the cemetery and is not intended to delve in depth into individual family histories. Due to time constraints only a selection of graves are visited.
