…and that’s just the tip of the iceberg… explore this fascinating part of Canberra, home to slab huts with convicts and ex-convicts even before the white settlement of Perth (1829) Melbourne (1836), or Adelaide (1836).Brand new from the Tim the Yowie Man stable of historical tours around Canberra, in conjunction with Amy Jarvis, the ANU Heritage guru comes the ‘Old ANU by Torchlight Tour’.Starts and finishes: Fellows Bar, University House, 1 Balmain Cres, Acton Times: 7:30pm to about 9:30pm BYO: torch Cost: $49 per head, including a drink on arrivalNote: This is a walking tour so a reasonable level of fitness is required. We will be walking around 3km over a period of two hours. This includes stairs and uneven ground.
